Each earring has a textured pattern on the back for a nice finish. They have a gently curved surface.
These earrings are designed and made by me in my Queensland studio.
The technique used to make the patterns involves impressing raised templates into layers of coloured clay with precise pressure to make sure there the imprint is just deep enough to allow each layer to form part of the overall pattern. The surface layers of the clay are then carefully "shaved" a little at a time to reveal the pattern. This process is done very slowly to avoid ruining the overall pattern.
