This pattern is not painted. is the result of complex mixing and manipulations of coloured clay. The pendant and bracelet pieces have a pleasing curved shape, textured pattern on the back and the pendant has a matching bail made from polymer clay. The pendant is lighter than you think as it is filled with air. The earrings also have a pleasing curved shape.
It is designed to be hung from a smooth metal neck ring but can also be strung with ribbon, leather, buna cord, textiles etc. The earrings are suspended from a shepherd's hook earring fitting.
The matching bracelet is strung on high quality stretch bead chord.
Jewellery made with these complex patterns takes many hours to design and then to make the many manipulations of the clay to form the intricate pattern. A number for small pieces are cut and combined with great precision to make make the final piece. Once cured each piece is carefully sanded to give a smooth texture to the surface It can take between 20 to 50 hours to design and make jewellery with these complex designs.
Only a few pieces are made with each design. Because of this complexity it is not possible to replicate this particular pattern exactly again.
