These earrings have a beautiful mandala pattern and gentle curved surface. There are matching fronts for the posts and a beautifully pattern on the reverse side.

The technique used to make these earrings has resulted in a striking white mandala pattern on a background of red and black resulting in an interesting optical illusion of a 3D effect.

The technique used to make the patterns involves impressing raised templates into layers of coloured clay with precise pressure to make sure there the imprint is just deep enough to allow each layer to form part of the overall pattern. The surface layers of the clay are then carefully "shaved" a little at a time to reveal the pattern. This process is done very slowly to avoid ruining the overall pattern and results in this intriguing effect.
